The first vehicle networking pilot area in the west of China

On January 8, 2021, Liangjiang New Area was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to create a national-level car networking pilot zone. This is the fourth across of country and the first national-level car networking pilot zone in the west.

The first autonomous driving connection line in China

In August 2021, the country’s first autonomous driving connection line was officially launched in Chongqing Science City. It was the first road section in the country to carry out autonomous driving bus open road testing and manned demonstration applications. The high-level self-driving buses deployed on this road section can complete automatic connection work without human intervention throughout the journey.

The autonomous driving connection route is a 5.4-kilometer loop line, with vehicle-road coordination as the core concept, and the development progress is simultaneously advanced from the two technical directions of the roadside and the vehicle. The roadside is equipped with RoboSense LiDAR smart bus station intelligent facilities and equipment, and two high-level autonomous driving vehicles for daily operations are deployed on the car side.

Through RS-V2X solutions, 5G, edge computing and other technologies, the project can realize the fusion perception and information sharing between the two ends of the road and make the vehicle operation safer and more efficient.

It is understood that the self-driving bus connection service has a total of 6 stations, which will be officially put into operation at the end of August, and the operating time covers the peak commuting period. At that time, citizens can use the dedicated WeChat mini program to swipe the code to board the bus. After the pilot is successful, it will be expanded to other road sections to serve more citizens and ease the pressure of traffic congestion.

The first batch of smart networked vehicle test roads in Shanghai

With a total length of 8.5 kilometers, Huanhu Road is one of the first open test roads for intelligent networked vehicles released in Shanghai. Lin-Gang Transportation, Shanghai Research Institute and other units based on 5G + intelligent network technology open test comprehensive application scenarios, smart bus service scenarios based on big data, artificial intelligence traffic holographic perception and other new technologies, have built a complete intelligent network connection Test the application environment of roads and smart public transport demonstration.

The relevant person in charge of Shanghai Lin-Gang Transportation Co., Ltd. said that in order for smart buses to operate smoothly, road smart upgrades must be carried out first. It is reported that 38 sets of RSU equipment have been installed at 14 intersections of the road section, and 5 sets of edge computing servers have been deployed, realizing full coverage of 5G and LTE-V2X networks. The RoboSense LiDAR used on the roadside will provide roadside traffic information for smart vehicles.

It is reported that the holographic sensing intersection built around the lake all the way is a holographic sensing intersection created by integrating video information, LiDAR, millimeter wave radar and other multi-source information. It can effectively improve the efficiency of intersections and improve the safety of pedestrians crossing the street. At the same time, integrated vehicle-road coordination, V2X and other technologies have created a priority for public transport and special vehicles.

5G Intelligent Networking System, Hangzhou

Recently, RoboSense LiDAR was deployed on the road-end base station on 705 Road, Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, giving road-end units beyond-horizon sensing capabilities.

This project is a “5G+SmartBus” vehicle-road collaborative application case created by Datang Mobile and RoboSense. The RoboSense vehicle-road collaborative Lidar roadside sensing RS-V2X solution gives the intelligent roadside a “God’s perspective” for visual angle of the road conditions.

The first 5G car-road collaborative bus in the Northwest of China

As the seventh national-level new district in China established in 2014, Xixian New District is the first national-level new district with the theme of innovative urban development approved by the State Council. Datang Mobile and RoboSense have created the first 5G vehicle-road coordinated bus system in Xixian New District, which is an important milestone for the subsequent construction of smart transportation in Xixian New District.

RoboSense 5G vehicle-road collaborative bus system is an important line connecting intercity traffic and work units, and solves “the last mile” problem. The LiDAR used in this system comes from RoboSense. Lidar models the on-site loading environment in real time, and uses the AI algorithm independently developed by Matrix to analyze point cloud data, which can realize functions such as belt control, chute automatic control, and discharge gate flow control. At the same time, the staff use mature PLC control technology and remotely centrally control on-site related equipment to realize unmanned loading.
